RAIN

My gaze lingers on the window.

The ghosts of flurries fly by, the snow glowing briefly in the cone of light.

They’re still arguing, their voices streaming through the door, occasionally loud, and angry, other times muffled, and quiet like now.

The door opens with a bang, and slams shut, and then footsteps shuffle closer. A hand slides across my naked body as the mattress dips behind my back.

“Hey,” Lex says with a tender voice.

I roll to my back and glance at him. His face is flushed, his eyes burning, and yet a smile drapes over his lips.

Propped on his elbow, he looks down at me, his fingers brushing my cheek.

“I’m sorry, Rain,” he says, regret flashing in his gaze.

We share a few moments of silence. Tears flood my eyes.

“You want me to go?” I ask, softly stroking his hand with my fingers.

Slowly, he shakes his head.

“It’s probably too late for that… I don’t want you to leave,” he murmurs.

“Okay.”

His eyes sparkle with a grin as I push up to him and curl my hand around his neck.

He tilts his head down, his lips smoothly connecting with mine. His kiss is soft at first, as I imagined it would be, and then it brims with passion, something I always knew he has for me.

His hand goes up and down my body, his touch warm, and sensual. He gives me a taste of something good and different. Something I almost forgot how it feels. Tenderly, he buries me in his arms, warming me up against his body.

Smoothly, I slide my hand inside his towel and peel it off his hips. He slides on top of me, and I spread my legs for him, my hips grinding as his erection presses on my clit.

“You like it?” he murmurs against my lips.

I softly nod.

He locks my lips again, his fingers threading through my hair, his touch so arousing. Tingles swirl between my legs and heat barrels through my body, quickly followed by the rise of pleasure.

“I haven’t had someone making love to me in a while...” I say.

“Me neither,” he says, his lips tilting into a smile.

I cup his face and kiss him softly. The main door slams again. I jerk against his chest.

“Don’t worry. He’ll be back,” Lex mutters softly against my lips. “It’s you and me, baby...” he says, a smile sparkling in his eyes. “I’m not gonna hurt you, Rain…”

“I know…” I say, soaking in his beautiful grin. “You’ve been waiting for this for a while...” I murmur, and he slowly nods. “Have you ever thought it would actually happen?”

“Maybe...” he says, smiling. “But not like this,” he says, tightening his arm around me.

His lips press mine as I slide my fingers into his hair. He deepens our kiss, his hands loving me gently, his skin burning against mine.

He feels like spring after a long winter.

Soft moans crawl up my throat. He tears his lips away, snatches a plastic foil from the nightstand, tears it open and rolls the condom on him.

Smoothly he eases himself in, his eyes filtering a smile as I let out a sigh of pleasure.
